On June 26th, the Chéticamp River Salmon Association participated in a meaningful salmon ceremony at the Margaree Fish Hatchery, which was graciously hosted by the Unama'ki Institute of Natural Resources. The event featured warm greetings, traditional smudging, informative presentations, and a feast highlighting wild salmon.
The ceremony was honored to the significant contributions of Danny J. Paul to both First Nations culture and conservation efforts. His dedication and leadership have played a central role in raising awareness about the importance of preserving salmon populations and their habitats.
